Julie Price

I have been a part of WRBC since a baby when I was brought to church by mam, Angela, Jesus has always been a huge part of my life and when I was on a church youth weekend I began to more fully understand what it means to have Jesus as our Lord, Saviour and friend and gave my life to Him, I was then baptised as a believer in 1994.  I enjoyed growing up in church in many ways, playing my flute in the band, youth group, Guides etc.

I went away to university in Sheffield and came back to WRBC along with my husband Andy.  We have a fun, messy life with our children, Joshua is 17, Matthew is 13 and Abigail is 8, Joshua and Matthew both have Autism, which hopefully helps us understand the joys and complexities of other families.  Church is a place where everyone is welcome, and everyone should feel at home, Jesus loves each of us and we can be who we are, knowing God has a plan.  Andy and I would never want anyone to feel out of place or uncomfortable with their children at church, as we know what it is like to have the noisy, unruly one in the service!

I first felt a call to ministry in 2010 and was thankful the church supported that call and encouraged me to train with the Northern Baptist Association in partnership with Northern Baptist College.  When my training was completed I was inducted as Pastor of WRBC in 2016.  It is a privilege to serve God in this Church family, I am passionate about everyone having a living, daily relationship with Jesus, being empowered by the Holy Spirit to share God’s love with everyone they encounter and the Church being a place which serves our community, particularly through our children’s work.

I have been part of the Church family at Westoe Baptist Church since I was 6 years old.

I became a Christian when I was 14 years old as I accepted Jesus into my life and  then Baptized, here in this Church. Since then I have been an active part of Church Life in particular with the vision the Church has for reaching and working with  families. I have served as a Church Deacon for several years and became Church Secretary in 2004. It is a privilege to be part of the Church Leadership team as well as in my day to day role as Manager of Whizz Kids Childcare.

I have been part of the Westoe Road church family for all of my life and it has been my privilege to serve as a Deacon for the past 12 years.
I am involved with the ladies' groups and I am part of the pastoral team.I also enjoy helping at our Whizz Kids nursery when needed.

My family and I have been coming to Westoe Baptist Church for 70 years. I was Baptized in my teenage years and have enjoyed attending many groups.I was elected to the role of Deacon in the late 1980’s and currently serve as a Church Deacon and the Church Treasurer. My Church family  is important to me as I support the work that goes on and attend several groups.

I have attended Westoe Road Baptist Church since 2002 and I have been serving as a Deacon for 4 years.
My principal areas of responsibility are the church property, leading the men's group, and helping with the music for the Sunday morning worship services.

Being brought up in a Christian family embedded in me a strong faith in Jesus from an early age. I have been involved in Westoe Road church activities for around 12 years, and was baptised there in 2013, before becoming a Deacon in 2018. I’m involved in the Men’s Group and enjoy supporting the Pastor by taking Sunday services and relaying the message of God when requested. My belief in the power and love of Jesus continues to grow in my service to our fellowship and community.
